My name is Dima Yazji Shamoun. I'm a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Department of Finance at UT McCombs School of Business. Prior to joining McCombs, I was a Lecturer with the UT Economics Department.
Prior to joining UT, I was a Research Fellow with the Mercatus Center at George Mason University and a Part-Time Assistant Professor of Economics at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
I received a BA in Mathematics and Economics, an MA in Economics, and a Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University. My research focuses on Law & Economics and Political Economy. I have taught a wide variety of graduate and undergraduate courses at UT Austin, George Mason University and Southwestern University. I have published articles in the Journal of Public Choice, the Journal of Food and Chemical Toxicology, Health Physics, the Journal of Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology, and I am a co-editor of a two-volume anthology of Macroeconomics.
